Abdul Shakur (AKA: James Harvey) This is not a poem just a precursor to a spirit set free, as words drips from the pulsating rhythmic vibration, of an untamed heart beat. Though I have spent the past 27 years in solitary confinement, my spirit is free. And my soul liberated. I refuse to capitulate to the limitation of my physical restriction. This endeavor to connect with other kindred spirits is an expression of my spirit's defiance in the face of physical subjugation. Connecting with an outside spirit serves as a temporary reprieve from the asphyxiation precipitated by spiritual isolation; your response would consummate the emancipation of my defiant spirit. So I ask of you: to walk with me, to fly with me, to talk with me, to sing with me as we dance to this rhythm of spiritual friendship. Join me on this journey as we explore the anatomy of life.
